Persecution is Growing–But you Can Make a Difference.

Myoung-Hee’s story is a prime example of the persecution and triumph of Christians in North Korea. The most dangerous place on earth to be a Christian*!

Following the brutal execution of her uncle for his faith in Christ and other Christians in her life who went missing, Myoung-Hee was afraid her association would result in her own disappearance. She escaped North Korea by swimming across the river to China. Sadly, she was caught by human traffickers and sold to a Chinese farmer with whom she later had a child.

While Myoung-Hee could escape North Korea, she couldn’t escape the reach of God’s hand.

While in China, she decided to follow Jesus and longed to return to her family in her home country, despite the fear of persecution. Myoung-Hee was arrested upon crossing the border into North Korea and sent to prison where she recalls inhumane treatment. At times she was sure she was going to die.

Yet, God was moving. Even here, hope was alive.

After a dangerous escape from a labour camp, Myoung-Hee was reunited with her family and, for the first time, they worshipped God together. “It was the most joyous experience ever. […] [God] had a purpose for every experience, no matter how painful it was. It all happened to prepare me to share the Gospel to the lost people in North Korea and China […] nothing could extinguish my passion for Christ.”

Our brothers and sisters around the world, like Myoung-Hee, are relentless in their pursuit of the Gospel, determined and committed to the cause of Christ, no matter the cost.
