What is Arise Africa?
It’s an invitation to you – to unite with your brothers and sisters in Sub-Saharan Africa and stand up to violent persecution.
Over four years, our goal is to reach and support four million Christians in Sub-Saharan Africa, spiritually, physically and emotionally.
We want to see the global church awakened and actively praying, giving and speaking out about what’s happening. And we will campaign for change, to counter extremist ideology and rampant violence.

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.
See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.
Nations will come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your dawn."Isaiah 60:1
The impact of persecution
Victims of violent persecution are traumatized. They feel angry and hopeless. Some seek revenge, creating a cycle of violence. Others may become depressed. The church is destabilized.

We want to create a Tree of Prayer at the Open Doors trauma healing centre in Nigeria, and you can contribute! Download a printable Leaf, write your prayer on it, and send it to Open Doors Canada! We’ll make sure it gets added to the tree to encourage our brothers and sisters in Nigeria!
When you give a gift, you are standing with your persecuted family and letting them know that they are not alone.
